Sprouts – A healthy Salad


 Sprouts –  highly nutritious and rich in enzymes which promote good health. They are a prominent ingredient of the raw food diet.  Sprouts have long been famous as “health food”, but recent research shows that in addition to being a superb source of nutrients, they also have important curative ability. 

For those who dislike eating raw sprouts, can mix sprouts with chat masala giving it a desi touch !

 

Ingredients:

1.Whole moong sprouts – 1 cup

Wash thoroughly and soak the sprouts overnight  or little more in plenty of water. Rinse them well. Cover the container loosely with a clean piece of cloth or just drain water and leave it that way for the day and u can see them sprout. If they seem to get dry jus rinse them in between.

2.Onion, chopped finely – small.

3. Tomato, chopped finely – small.

4. Carrot, grated – 1 medium

5.Chat masala / Black Salt – 1/2 tsp

6. Lemon juice – 1/2 lemon

7. Salt – as required (Check properly before adding as chat masala already contains little salt)

8. Pepper – as required

Method:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and toss them well.
