Eggless Chocolate Rolls…a delicious treat for kids. It reminds me of the lovely summer holidays that we used to spend eating many chocolate treats prepared by mom !
Ingredients:
1. Marie Biscuits – 1 packet (12 to 13 biscuits)
2. Dessicated Coconut powder – 1/4 cup
3. Cocoa powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
4. Melted butter – 1 1/2 tbsp
5. Milk – few tbsp
6. Powdered Sugar – 1 1/4 cup
Method:
Grind the biscuits to a fine powder and add cocoa powder to it.Mix well and then add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to it. Mix well and by adding drops of milk prepare a dough. Keep aside.
Spread :
option a: In a seperate bowl, add the coconut powder, powdered sugar and melted butter. Mix well.
option b: Instead of mixing the ingredients for preparing the spread, u can individually spread them on the chapathi according to your taste.
Meanwhile on a polythene/plastic paper, using the dough prepare rolls little thicker than chapathi. Spread the above mixture on the chapathi and roll it as shown.
Put then in the freezer for about 2 hrs and then cut them into 1/2 inch thickness piece and serve.
